Cottage and Pool Rules

Please review our General Rules and Regulations and our Pool Rules and Regulations prior to booking.

General Rules and Regulations

 

Children and youth must be supervised by a parent/guardian at all times.  If you are leaving the property, children and youth must  accompany you. 

 

Loud disruptive noise such as music or any type of disruptive behaviour is not allowed. Quiet time is from 10pm until 8am. 

 

We have a zero tolerance policy and will refuse the use of facilities to anyone under the influence of alcohol or other substances, or those who

behave in a disorderly manner. 

 

Smoking is strictly prohibited in the cottages and in the pool enclosure. Anyone wishing to smoke, must do so at least 20 feet from any entrance

to any of the cottages, storage buildings or pool enclosure. 

 

Parking is available for one vehicle only per cottage. For everyone’s well-being and safety, do not attempt to fit two cars in one space.  

 

Check-out time is 10am. Please be prompt in checking-out. If you require a later check-out, please speak with management in advance. 

 

Only registered guests are allowed in the pool enclosure. Day guests are not allowed in the pool or the pool enclosure. 

 

NO FIRES. NO FIREWORKS.

 

Registered guests in each cottage cannot exceed the occupancy.

No Pets.

Pool Rules and Regulations

​

The pool is open from mid June to mid September from 10 am until 7:30 pm daily.

​

PORT DOVER SANDS POOL IS AN UNSUPERVISED POOL -  THIS MEANS NO LIFEGUARDS

​

Bathers under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent/agent who is not less than 16 years of age.

(Please bring your own personal flotation devises for children. )

 

NO DIVING. NO RUNNING. NO PUSHING.

 

No person shall engage in boisterous play in or about the pool. 

 

Do not enter the pool enclosure if under the influence of alcohol or other substances.

​

No large blow-up floats. No squirt guns. No water balls. No frisbees.

 

No glass containers. No food or drink allowed in the pool enclosure other than plastic water bottles.

 

Every bather MUST SHOWER using warm water and soap before entering or reentering the pool enclosure. Please ensure

feet/shoes are clean, even if entering as a spectator.

Please do not allow your children to play in the outdoor shower.

 

Use of bathing suits is mandatory.

 

Swim pants (adequate pool diapers) are mandatory for diaper-aged children. Do not change diapers in the pool area. 

 

No person shall pollute the water in the pool in any manner. Spiting, spouting water or blowing the nose in the pool area is prohibited.

 

No person infected with a communicable disease or having open sores on their body, or recently ill with diarrhea shall enter the pool. 

 

Please exit the pool immediately and notify management of any pool fouling.

 

Please exit the pool and pool enclosure at the first sign of an impending lightning storm.

 

MAXIMUM NUMBER OF PERSONS IN THE POOL/POOL ENCLOSURE AT ANY TIME IS 20
